  George Steagall, 73, of Mansfield, died Saturday morning, May 3, 2008 at his home. He was born April 13, 1935 in Union, Monroe County, West Virginia to the late Millard C. and Naomi (Weikel) Steagall. Mr. Steagall was retired from Thermo-Disc, and had also worked at Stone Container and Versa Tech. He was an artist, loved to read westerns, and love fishing and collecting eagles. He also crafted model ships out of beer cans. Everyone loved his personality and he was a genuine “good guy”. He is survived by his wife Hazel (Bryant) Steagall of Mansfield, two sons Mitchell Steagall and Michael Steagall both of Fort Worth, TX; four step daughters and two step sons-in-law, Margie and Jack Hamm, Marie Dunivor, and Miracle Mauk all of Mansfield, Ella and Mark Goheen of Mt. Vernon, OH: six grandchildren, seven step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, eight step great-grandchildren; a host of very good friends, special friends Tommy and Mary Swihart of Mansfield. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Pastor Michael G. Rogers. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Memorial Park. For online guest registry, click on above logo.
