Ontario's Drew Smith celebrates with teammates after scoring the lone Warrior goal in Thursday nights 1-1 draw with St Petes. ..

Ontario came into Thursday nights game with some confidence after beating Mansfield Christian for the first time in their seniors careers. But St Pete's was also riding momentum, as winners of their last 2 contests. The first half would be predominantly controlled by the Spartans who put several shots on net, but were unable to get one by Richard Art, who had 18 saves in the game. The Warrior's struggled to put together scoring opportunities and the match would be knotted at 0-0 at the half. The Warrior's looked much better after the break, controlling the ball for much of the 2nd half with precise ball movement. Then with 12:58 to play, Drew Smith would put Ontario up a goal with a near post shot inside the 18. However, St Peter's would answer the call in the final minutes off a Rene Betance penalty kick that tied the match at 1-1, where it would stay.

The Warriors are now 3-1-2 with the draw and will be back in action Saturday at home vs Huron. St Peter's will also be on the pitch Saturday at Madison, Spartans are 2-3-2 on the year.
