Madison Fitness Center at 926 Ashland Road in Mansfield wants area residents to "commit to be fit."

It's one reason why the fitness center held a weekend open house for its new free weight section. Owner Mike Messner said the goal is to offer a friendly, personalized gym that will make people feel welcome as they work out.

Madison Fitness Center offers personal trainers who utilize a combination of free weights, resistance equipment, cardio machines, calisthenics and small apparatus exercises. They're open seven days a week.
