Lowell Smith, Chris Elswick and Dina Davis are the newest members of the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education after Tuesday's general election. The trio topped a field of 10 candidates.

The Mansfield School Employees Association endorsed Smith, Elswick and Davis. Elswick and Davis have children n who attend Mansfield Senior High and Malabar Middle Schools and have strong backgrounds in business and finance. Smith has a strong history with the Mansfield City School District and knowledge of educational leadership. Each expressed their goal to always put the stduents first.

Smith said he's glad to be a part of the board of education. He said his top priority will be increasing student academic achievement. Smith thanked the voters for their support.
