Eleven people have been nominated for Mansfield City Schools 2010 Teacher of the Year.

The winner will be presented at the third annual Teacher of the Year gala on May 6, 2010 at the Renaissance Theatre on Park Ave. West in downtown Mansfield.

The nominees are Joel Morrow, Sandy Overholt, Susan Johnson, Kim Angel, Jamie Zellner, Jennifer Jarvis, Janet Ellsworth, Amanda Tridico, Nancy Niedermier, Carol Houseworth and Jean Vipperman. The eleven candidates were nominated by their respective school buildings and will complete detailed written applications, then will be screened by a community, working independently of the district.
