The first ever Honkin' Haulin' Hands-On Trucks event appeared to be a success Sunday afternoon in Marshall Park in Ontario.

Area children were invited to come out and get an up-close look at various trucks and other equipment and vehicles used by the city of Ontario, along with a fire engine and school buses.

Ontario Recreation Director Janet Vancura said more than 150 children took part in the event, which she deemed a great success.
