Good news today for Mansfield as Donald Marshall, District Manager for the Northern Ohio District of the United States Postal Service states processing is going to stay in Mansfield at this time. The following release was received by WMFD this afternoon.

Postal Service mail processing study ended

Mansfield, OH The Postal Service has ended its Area Mail Processing (AMP) study of mail processing operations at the Mansfield Post Office.

“This was a careful review,” said Donald Marshall, District Manager for the Postal Service’s Northern Ohio District, “and the conclusion is that there will be no significant changes made at this time.”

“The business environment in which the Postal Service operates continues to change and we must constantly examine how we can improve our operations to meet our customers’ needs,” he said. “Studies such as the one conducted in Mansfield allow us to determine where these improvements can best be made.”
